PSA:

LJ's ads are spreading malware.

(And before anybody says "Well, LJ doesn't control what their ad provider supplies!" - ya know, they could always use a different ad provider.)

People can always any report questionable ad to LJ.

And when that ad gets taken down, what's to stop another one from taking its place?

It's not an isolated incident, it's a basic security flaw in this particular ad service. LJ could screen the ads themselves, or get a provider that doesn't provide computer-infecting ads in the first place. Instead they're putting the userbase (and our computers, and our data...) on their front lines.
